Most software is built as a monolith: one app trying to do everything, cut off from everything else. Data gets trapped, and anyone — person or agent — has to learn each tool separately. Asembla replaces that with a single meeting point.

Ecosystem
Every account starts its own ecosystem — a private world that holds your apps, your keys and your map. You decide what shows publicly and what stays behind the scenes.

Platform
Each connected app is a node on a spoke. You give it an address and a way to sign in, and it joins your constellation.

Module
Inside an app, each area of function is a module: voting, tasks, time, outreach, storage. Modules keep large apps understandable.

Block
A block is one specific thing: an action to run, or an event that fires. Blocks describe what they need and what they give back, so any two compatible blocks can snap together.
What happens when things connect
When an app has something to report, it sends a pulse to Asembla. Asembla translates that pulse into one shared language, then passes it on to every connection listening for it — a task board, a calendar, a notification, an AI agent living on another platform entirely.
The reverse works too. Asembla can reach into any registered app and run one of its actions, using credentials that stay encrypted and never leave the server. Every single hop is written into a record you can read, so you always know what your ecosystem did and why.
Once an arrangement works, you can publish it as a Portal: a focused view showing only the parts that matter for one purpose — a peace movement, a grant round, a research group — all still running on the same hub.
Where this came from
One network, born from many
Asembla is a project of Ativity.org. We build — dozens of projects, websites and tools, each one useful on its own, each one kept separate from the next.
We kept asking the same question: instead of keeping everything apart, why not connect and synthesize? Why not let AI weave them into one fabric, so a signal on one site can reach an agent on another? That question became Asembla.

Asembla is neurodiverse led. We are a community space, and we want people to feel good about participating and being part of this community — not overwhelmed by it.
The dark interface reduces eye strain. Motion can be switched off entirely with calm mode. Language, contrast and pacing are designed to be kind to different minds, because power should never require overstimulation.
